7 April 2009, 3.30 pm- 6.30 pm, Southern University Bangladesh, Chittagong.

A seminar on Integration of Knowledge & Science was held on 7th April 2009 at the conference Hall of Southern University, Chittagong jointly organized by Southern University and Bangladesh Institute of Islamic Thought (BIIT)-Chittagong Chapter.

Prof. Dr. Mulyadhi Kartanegara, Professor of Philosophy, UIN Sharif Haiayatullah, Jakarta and Director, Centre for Philosophical Studies and Information, Jakarta, Indonesia was the keynote speaker in the seminar.

Prof. A.J.M. Nuruddin Chowdhury, Vice Chancellor of Southern University presided over the seminar while Introductory speech was given by Mr. M. Abdul Aziz, Deputy Executive Director of BIIT. Then Prof. Dr. Mulyadhi Kartanegara presented his papers on:

1. Rumi’s Theory of Evolution 
2. Secularization of Science and Its Islamic Answer

More than 50 faculties were present in the seminar.
Participants also made their questions & comments on his presentations.
Finally vote of thanks was offered by Dr. Md. Lutfur Rahman, Executive Director of BIIT.
