Educational is a somewhat complicated social setting made up by society. To the Muslim society it is a free setting which is limited by nothing except Quranic or Sunnah texts. It is the Muslims who define its aim and the values involved therein. It is they who design the processes which realize such aims in the light of their own concepts on which the entire Muslim society is built up with all its institution.
Education has aims and objectives. Aims are the goals of all objectives and the point on which converge all educational affairs and from which ramify its conditions. Aims are the source of subordinate objectives and of subsidiary ones. But these subsidiary objectives differ according to ages and societies depending on the conceptions and circumstances of these societies. Yet aims remain the same. Objectives, on the other hand, vary in the degree of enabling the individual to achieve his aims.
